Why Do I Want To go?
By: Alyssa Bravo
I want to go to college because I want to set an example for my sister. When I go to college I want to become an athletic trainer. I want to follow and travel with the Angels of Anaheim Athletic Training Program. This has always been my dream and hopefully I can become the first woman trainer in the Angels locker room and help all the athletes get fit and worked on before they re-injure themselves and ruin their career. Surly I want my sister to follow her dream and go to college like I did and pursue he career.

“Honesty is the corner
stone of character. The honest man or woman seek no merely to avoid criminal or
illegal acts, but to be scrupulously fair, upright, fearless I both action and
expression, honesty pays dividends both in dollars and in peace of mind.”
-B.C. Forbes
Reflection: I think this quote means you hone
to be honest to people so that you can have their trust in you and you won’t
need to work hard because you have their trust with honesty.

Honesty 9 of 10
Honesty
9 of 10
Honesty is
always the best policy. Employers need to know that they can trust you with everything
from company credits cars to trade secrets. How can you work honestly? You demonstrate
integrity every day that you do your own homework and resist the temptation to
cheat on exams.
What is
honesty?
· Honesty is telling the truth.
· Honesty is strateforword conduct.
· Honesty is being sincere, truthful,
trustworthy, honorable, fair, genuine, and loyal with integrity.
You are being
honest when you….
· Do your own homework.
· Tell a friend the truth.
· Explain the real reason you didn’t turn
in your homework.
· Keep your eyes on your own paper.
· Clean up your room after making a
promise.
· Give the cashier the extra money she
gave you by mistake.
· Write a report in your own words instead
of coping.
· Admit you made a mistake.
· Keep friends secrets.
· Turn in a wallet full of money that
you found.

“Stop worrying about
whether you’re going to win or lose and focus your full attention on what is
happening right this moment.”
-Phil Jackson
Reflection: I think this quote means not to
worry on what is going to happen because if you do you worry about other things
and you should just stay within that moment so you don’t lose that
concentration that you have with you.

Time Management 8 of 10
Time Management

Master the
moments and you may be real pro when it comes to juggling the many demands on
your time-classes, homework and activities – with some family help. Colleges give
you an even bigger chance to sharpen your time management skills by doing it
all on your own. And that’s a good thing since most jobs require multitasking,
you might need to take care of current clients while attracting new ones,
respond t6o e-mail while working on a major presentation, or order tomorrow’s
produces while planning next week’s menu.
Someone said, “Wherever you are, be
there.” Focus on the present moments and give it all your attention. Don’t let
your mind drift and wonder here and their when you need to be thinking and
concentrating on the moments, so make the most of it while it NOW. Master the
present and you will master the future. Work smart by mastering the present
moments.

“Truth is the only safe
ground to stand up on.”
-Elisabeth Cady Stanton
Reflection: I think this quote means if you
know what you want to do in the future you have to stick to it to have a safe
ground. While you know what you what to do in the future you can achieve
anything.

Attention Details 7 of 10
Attention Detail
7 of 10
When you
double check your calculations for math problems or cite source carefully in a
research paper, you’re paying close attention to detail. That skill comes in
handy in any work place, whether you’re maintaining a database, keep a log of
the hours you spend with clients or write email.
John wooden, UCLA’s former great
basketball coach who led his team to ten consecutive national championships,
was asked what he attributed his success to. Among a number of things, he mentioned
that paying attention to details was one of the most important qualities for
successful coaching and for high achievement in any worthwhile purist. He even paid attention to how his player
would lace up and tie their shoe strings. If they didn’t tie them correctly, he
would teach them how.
Detail
may be small things, but form small things to details come great things; therefore,
pay attention to details and you will experience substantial progress in your overall
educational attainment.
